FAQ – Fluffy Antique Quilts
You ask questions. We give answers. It’s like Jeopardy in reverse.
What format are the backgrounds in?
The backgrounds are encoded in h.264 mov files at 100% quality. The HD files are in 720p and the 4:3 files are 800×600.
Why do you call them 4:3 and not Standard Definition (SD)?
Widescreen projectors and screens are relatively expensive and many churches are still using 4:3 screens. Square-pixel standard definition NTSC video is 640×480 pixels. While the format needs to be a 4:3 aspect ratio for these projectors, all of them can project at 800×600 pixels. So we encode our 4:3 video files at 800×600. These extra (50% more) pixels give our worship backgrounds a sharper and clearer picture than Standard Definition backgrounds. If you do ever output it to a TV, it will simply get down converted along the way.
Can I use a video in a TV Commercial or as part of a sermon series DVD?
While the site license doesn’t cover such use (see our Terms and Conditions page), we do offer stock video licenses for individual videos at a reasonable price. For more information, contact us here.
Can I play the worship backgrounds in PowerPoint?
While technically you can playback video in PowerPoint, it doesn’t support overlaying text, so they won’t technically be “backgrounds.” If you’re asking this question though, it’s really time to say your goodbyes to PowerPoint and get in the game. We like ProPresenter and MediaShout (Psst… Don’t tell anyone, but we like ProPresenter way more. We try to stay neutral, but they don’t make it easy on us.)
How do I open a .zip file?
Double click the file and your computer should automatically “unzip” the file. If not, download WinRar for free.
What is the square root of two to sixty-five decimal places?
1.41421356237309504880168872420969807856967187537694807317667973799
When will my order be shipped?
Never. They’re a digital download. You’ll receive and email after payment. The email will contain a download link. You have 5 tries or 120 hours to download the file.
How big is the download file?
Big. Really big. Texas big. The HD download file is about 680MB and the 4:3 download file is 410MB.
